DESCRIPTION:Randye Jones will give a presentation about her current research activities\, including her recently released book\, So You Want to Sing Spirituals: A Guide for Performers\, and the new project\, Recorded Concert Spirituals: A Guide for Solo Vocalists. \nThis Music Library Association Conference Paraprofessional Showcase session will highlight the work of Paraprofessional Members of the Association through a series of five “lightning” presentations. These short presentations will convey the many different hats that library support staff wear and describe their projects and accomplishments in a variety of presenter-proposed areas. This session seeks to encourage participation of library support staff in the Association and provide a forum to acknowledge and celebrate their work. Attendees will leave with an increased understanding of the work done by library support staff\, as well as a list of professional development resources for library support staff.
